Spring....hold your breathe

Lucky us!  We have had consecutive record breaking warmth all March 2012.  This is rather odd because usually we are digging out after a mad snowstorm during the State Boy's Basketball tournament which is this time of year in March.
Well here we are, I got a start on planting some herbs today and sunshine filled our backyard.  All of the leaves and clean up from our mild winter are still laying there.  Allergies are here.  OMG!
I feel behind on Spring chores, but...................it might freeze.  Don't get too ambitious in waking up the yard, anything could happen.  And I'm sure it will because Tim put the snowblower away!
I took my restlessness and went to seek blossoms in the "sweet" light tonight.  Here are a few pictures I captured.

I guess this also means I've been gramsey for five years too!

I had this vision

So I absolutely have abandoned Facebook.  It's the new look.  Change is hard and I'm having a hard time changing.  As friends are making the change with me on Facebook I am slowly starting to see the new "covers"
which is the large picture that you can place under your profile picture.  I was stumped on which picture to choose for my cover.  Then it hit me.  I see it everyday when I arrive home.  Two cute lil puppies in the window waiting for a friend.
So last night, I waited til sundown and created as much light as I could in the livingroom using lamps and portable lighting.  This created the backlight I needed to give my subjects shape.  Next I waited til the sun was almost all the way down so the reflection in the front windows was at it's very least.
My camera settings were: ISO 1600  f/25 and my lens wide open at 4.0

The Preschool Tea Part Photoshoot

The girls happily dressed for the occasion and the cupcakes had delicious frosting!  Ruby took a serious liking to the sugar bowl.
