Charlie is my son Andy's pup and both my husband and I have fallen for him. He is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier with the sweetest disposition.  Here he is relaxing on Tim's lap after an eventful Thanksgiving.

Wedding Shoot went well!

Sarah and my oldest became best friends and have remained that for 15 years.
Sarah got married on Saturday and she was a beautiful bride.  It was refreshing to see this couple think out of the box for their wedding.  It was on a river boat.  It almost reminded me of a tug boat but I think it was too big.
The boat was loaded with character which screamed a past life of more than Weddings and parties.
The weather was unheard of for November in the Twin Cities.  Beautiful 55 degree evening.
Many picture to be edited but I had to do just one!

Set up

I was a busy photographer this weekend, not realizing until Friday night that I had TWO photoshoots on Saturday!  How in the world did I becone this disorganized that I didn't have a idea?  I'll tell you why, I officially switched over to Google calendars and no longer am using the paper version of an organizer.  Wish me luck.
Here are a few shots I took this weekend.

Legos at Work

I found myself taking pictures of Legos tonight.  I used a 4.0 aperture to achieve this great blur in the foreground and background.  Makes me want to build something.

2 Inches = ALOT of work!

Choice Communications (Adrienne's Company) hired me to do some Staff photos and Store photos. Above is the staff photo.  This will be printed onto canvas which wraps around a frame.  I need to add two inches to all sides for the wrap around.   Not much room to play with so I need to sleep on it and decide what to do?

Choice Communications now has 9 locations around the Cities.  It took me a week or two or three to make it to all 9 stores.

The highlight of this photo shoot was discovering a round barn in Sartell.

Traveling to St. Cloud and Sartell was highlighted by this barn which looks to be in a meadow somewhere in the prairie....not the case.  This barn was the center of earth being moved all around it to create the new Downtown Sartell.  A man walking his dog told me that the plan was this barn as the Center of the new downtown.

School has started

School has started and life at home has been all discombobbled.  I posted this picture to remind me of one relaxing time I had this summer with Andy and Tim.  We were just putting our canoe (and kayak) in the Namekogan River... and next to us doing the very same thing was a dad and his two adolescent sons.  He clearly was an English teacher.  I mean who would read a book like this in August?
I took the picture for English teacher.  I thought she'd have an opinion of some sort.  I not sure if I ever showed her this picture.  She and I have been nonsense busy as we both start our new jobs in the world of Education.  The world will slow down one day....honestly I am looking forward to a good Minnesota winter -minus the shoveling.  A warm house, the smell of chili and an episode of Glee is what I dream for.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Lily had fun discovering gramsey's make-up drawer.  There won't be too many times I can capture great make-up application.

How do you spell Pinnochio?

Here is the 2nd poster of Ms. Baird got class.  Our photo shoot was fast and furious and obviously no time for
choosing a book that she'd REALLY use for class.  I mean come on....Pinnochio?

The heat is on!

So little Miss school teacher has started her own blog and I cannot let her out blog me.  After all I have a camera in my hand all the time, which is ideal for blogging journals.  This is my first installment of Ms. Baird got class poster.  There are many to come...all are using the www and found vintage images. A fun project for August.

This is a version of the photo after photoshop.  I corrected the color balance, vibrance cropped and sharpened.

Snapping Snapdragon

I think I'll enter a print in the State Fair this year.  This picture was just to get me shooting artistically. I love the green vine shooting out the top.

Very Proud of Me!

When I started classes in photography...I wondered if it was enough of a passion to get the full degree.
The classes at HTC were informative, fun and helpful, but the real skill in photography is PRACTICE everything you learn and never thinking you've mastered anything.  In this world of digital technology there is always something new or better or bigger to learn or buy.  I am very proud of my degree that I earned at Hennepin Technical College.  It is the closest thing that I will ever earn to a four year degree!  And somewhere in me many years ago (20 years ago) I thought it would be an ultimate goal to attain a degree before my last born does. Amadeline graduated this same May 2010 with a Teaching degree in Secondary Language Arts.
My life is quite content this summer.  I am avidly seeking new photography news, styles and ideas everyday through blogs the internet and everything around us.

And here she is closer

 Look at those eyebrows!

I found it!!!!

Image 2685!  Lightroom kept telling me the file was missing.  Everyone knows what it feels like to lose a file.
I dedicated the last 30 minutes to finding this image.  Lily is cute.  But her face in this image is wonderfully expressive. I may print this at 11x14.

Sweet summer color

The yard is so colorful and green!  I FINALLY got my camera out this weekend and had some fun taking random pictures in the yard!

One of the things I really wanted to create this year was a fairy garden.  I looked everywhere inline for the perfect fairies to start my fairy garden and call me cheap...but 75$ was too much!  And that was just for 5!
One day I went to a garage sale here in Richfield and I found these cute little people called something like "Apple Dumplins" I bought all 13 of them for .50 cents each and the cute little ones are all over my yard.
Lily and Ruby really haven't discovered them yet...or maybe they just look too weird!
The girls get a bigger kick out of throwing pennies into Lake Lisa.

Charlie is such a good grand puppy!  Andy and Sara left Charlie with me on Saturday and he became part of the backyard photo shoot!  He doesn't really look too happy with me.

Lily and I found these fairies at the DOLLAR STORE!  Thank God I didn't buy the ones online for 75$
We planted the fairy looks pretty lame this year!
This plant looks like purple clover....very pretty and a perennial.

My favorite picture of the shoot...a baby grasshopper atop the bunny!
