2023

I'm looking forward to 2023 after-all I have a new Grandbaby arriving  late April.  This is Grandbaby 5.

He is VERY special because he will carry the Baird surname.  He will be very loved by his Gramsie as she will do her best to locate him to Minnesota, where he belongs.  I know it's not ideal but we have lakes. Hey little one,  I have lived elsewhere and I do know now... this is where I belong.  I hope baby 2023 gets to know the fine art of loving Minnesota.  Travel often.

Snowed In Mn.

From what I can see, the whole state of Minnesota looks like winter wonderland!

Myrtle

My fancy Juki is showing some sign of wear.  I decided to bring it in for a tune up.  In the meantime I fell down the rabbit hole of vintage sewing machine.  Yunno all metal parts and super reliable straight + zigzag stitch.  Seems the Singer Rocketeer 500A is a solid bet. Bam!  Welcome Myrtle - I love you already!

Sheshed Upkeep

Stained the exterior of the shed this past week.  One wall a day, wasn't so bad and it looks great.
The interior has had all the cobwebs dusted and many things removed to the point where I could actually
craft in there again.  I'll sweep and wash the floor this week and rearrange the things in storage all while asking myself why am I keeping this? Recently, I've been told the bell will be uprighted for show so that it can ring this summer.  Lou and Georgie will love that.  Lily and Ruby will love it too even though they're probably too cool for an old school bell.

New lights strung just like the old ones.  The bonfire was wonderful as it was most of the winter scruff from trees: sticks, back, moss etc.  This summer has been pretty modest with temperatures but it's warm enough to sit out at the SheShed and enjoy a nice fire.  Next year I'm hoping to remove all the ridiculous rock around the shed.

Ride the train with family!

Grandson Lou loves trains, so we decided to treat the families to the Train ride on the St. Croix that we take every year and enjoy so much.  The ten of us met at the train station in Osceola WI 11am
The trip never disappoints!
All of us.  Well actually Lily is was there but not seen in this pic. And Maddie took the pic so ...she is missing too.

Well it's already February!

Back from the groomer, Archie is sporting a ponytail soon to be his manbun. His brow hangs so low into his eyes that my camera cannot see those gorgeous long lashes.
