Decade Dog

 My little guy October 8, 2010 - October 19, 2020
Henry Hudson Parker Longfellow, you were a perfect little boy.  I cherished our relationship and I'm mourning your absence.  I am so sorry you got so sick.  We already miss you so much.

The Gnome

Moving  into this house has brought gardening back to my life.  I have truly missed out over the years both in nature's beauty and a good workout.  This little gnome graces my gardens. Yesterday my creative side took him for his own photoshoot.

Exhibits and Concessions

I got this great idea to get the family together to create/enjoy state fair food.  And all I can say is that I better read this before I attempt that again!  Two deep fryers going for mini donuts, cheese curds and deep fried cookie dough and last but not least deep fried pickles.  Sam manned the grill for about a footlong and corn on the cob.  Lily and Ruby assisted Adrienne and I as we struggled dropping glops into the deep fryers.  Dogs were looking for handouts.  Craziness.  But the air smelled like the Minnesota State Fair and the cheese curds were pretty good!

Lou looking for one more doughnut!

One quick picture of us afterwards.

Too cute to not post

What a happy visit!

Crooked Lake Resort

Last week we drove 240 miles to Crooked Lake Resort, 9449 Cramer Rd, Finland, MN 55603

Now the Crooked Lake Resort website is right out of 1998 which I found intriguing.  It left many questions unanswered by visiting their website.  But one thing was clear, there was no running water in the cabins!

On our way...anticipation at it's best

Rustic cabin #2

I used the vintage filter because we really we going back in time with this cabin.
*Note the refrigerator. Despite the luxury, the cabin was very clean and comfortable.

The outhouse was clean and had NO odor and NO flies.  Really!

We did not catch many fish this trip and the talk of the resort was that no one was catching fish.  But that didn't stop the boys from trying!

Tettegouche State Park

Everyday looked like this.

We three enjoyed roughing it in the 2020 summer cabin!

What does Google know....

Above are some of the albums that I have created in Google Photos.  As you can see I have a Lily folder.  Except that the photo is not Lily!  It's Baby Georgie.  Will Georgie look like her cousin Lily?  What does the Google artificial intelligence know or see?  That's a Baird baby!

SHE

The Covid19 Pandemic has had many delightful bonuses in my life. I "get to" work from home, allowing me to dual task work life, and homemaking.  I have sewn two quilts and rediscovered the joys of sewing.  I've gardened and pulled weeds to the point of exhaustion. But the grandest thing I've accomplished is tackling my desire to have a SheShed. I am very lucky to have a wonderful husband willing to help.  I truly could not have done all of this myself.

Below are pictures of the adventure.  All mixed up.

I painted for two straight weeks...around and around I went. Two coats of primer. One topcoat.
